care & safety tips for burning your candle:
The first time you light your candle is the most important! Be sure to burn your candle for at least 1 hour before extinguishing, or until the melt pool has reached the edges of the glass. Doing so will avoid tunneling of the candle
It may take a few tries to light your candle when you first receive it. This is normal. All you have to do is focus the lighter or match on the middle, raised part (aka the booster), once the booster catches you should be good to go!
Before each subsequent burn, be sure to trim the ash from your wick by pinching off the excess with your fingers or tissue. Trimming your wick before each use will ensure your candle burns evenly and at a slower rate
If you notice the flame height getting too low or too high (causing black soot on the rim of the glass), it may be necessary to tap off the excess ash or burnt wood on the top of the wick. Do so with a tool made of metal or other flame resistant materials. The flame will then return to its proper optimal height
Always keep candles away from children, pets, drafts, and drapery
Place candle on stable, heat resistant surface and never leave a lit candle unattended.
Failure to follow candle care instructions could result in fire, hazard, or injury.
